Good questions.

Is Travel Whoop free?

Yes. Planning, travel times, the group, expenses and bookings are free and stay free. Pro (€1.99 a month or €19.99 a year) adds Plan it for me (an automatic itinerary), the restaurant finder for your group's diets, hiking trails, road-trip tolls and vignettes, an expense report as PDF and Excel, trip pictures, all 12 video styles in Full HD, your Year in travel video, Google Maps Timeline import and 10 GB for photos and files. The free plan makes the Route story video in 720p. A Trip Pass (€4.99) unlocks the trip extras for one trip. A printed photo book is paid for separately when you order it.

Do I need an account?

Yes, a free one. Sign in with Apple, Google or your email address. With email we send you a one-time code, so there's no password to remember.

How much does the printed photo book cost?

It depends on the cover (softcover, hardcover or layflat) and the number of pages. You see the price, with shipping, before you pay. Our print partner Peecho takes the payment, prints the book and ships it to the EU and the US.

How is it different from a Google Maps list?

A list tells you what to see. Travel Whoop turns it into a day-by-day itinerary that works: the best order, real travel times by car, walk, bike, train or bus, opening hours and when you're back. On the trip it moves with you, and the group's bookings and expenses are in the same place. You can import your Google Maps lists and your bookings to start.

Do my friends need to install anything?

No. You send one invite link and they join in any browser. If they like, they can add it to their home screen, or use the iPhone and Android apps once they're out.

Does it work without internet on the trip?

Your trip is saved on your phone, so you can still see the plan without signal. Travel times and weather need a connection to update.

Where does it work?

Anywhere in the world. Routes, public transport and weather come from OpenStreetMap services, Transitous and Open-Meteo, which cover most countries.
